 Most healthy children and adults should be active daily. It should be both physical activity and structured practice. Hiking, biking, and walking are examples of quiet physical activities. While strength training, running, and games are examples of more structured exercises. One should maintain a balance of both physical activity and structured practice.

Nutrition and Diet

A balanced diet contains proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Some nutrients should only be used under the supervision of a licensed health professional. Fluid should be consumed regularly, ideally in the form of clean water. Food and snacks should be consumed all day and the size of the part should be appropriate.

Alcohol and drugs

Personal healthcare

Basic objects, like lozenges, bandages, and over-the-counter pain relief, should be easily available at home. A chronic cough, fever or other diseases should be managed by primary care. Signs and symptoms of an emergency should be noticed seriously.

Rest and sleep

 Although physical activity is necessary for good physical health, it is equally important to relax the body. Spending time to relax or to take a small nap can help to rejuvenate the body. Sleep should be in a calm and dark environment and should last for about 6 to 8 hours. A health professional may have to cope with sleep that is either too short or longer than this period or of poor quality. A short sleep will also affect your physical activity.
